His Girl Friday icons, part II
As promised, this batch contains more and better icons--twenty in all.

hildy, my icons don't always take to the colors I intend, but I did try to get some more blue in these. I also took special pains with a couple of glamor shots of the other Hildy. (She looks a lot like Myrna Loy with that one expression, don't you think?) I also tried some rather novel effects, such as the postage stamp.
As it may be of interest, I'd like to highlight one of the fonts I used, Dirty Headline (seen on "Newsroom Romance" and "News Flash"). It was made by the creator of the as-yet unreleased 1930s crime RPG I posted about in my journal a while back. You won't find a better font for vintage newspaper effects.
This time I was actually listening to His Girl Friday while I made some of these, so I was able to make use of a couple of lines. I think the film is more preoccupied with verbal quantity than quality, though. It reaffirmed my impression that I don't find it to be as funny as many other screwball comedies.
If you enjoy my work and would like to show appreciation for it, I welcome tips in the form of Dreamwidth Points. (Enter my username "jordannamorgan" as the account you're buying for.)
