Pretty, but odd...

I'm not even sure what I think of Star, my latest piece of fanart. It started out with a compulsion to have that image of a very, very pretty Young Cagney on my desktop (have I mentioned that long eyelashes make me wibbly?), even though the composition made it difficult to work with. You might have noticed I don't like using borders within the body of a wallpaper, but that's what I had to do here. As you can see, after a ridiculous amount of work, I ended up with another very busy, glitterful piece; there are things going on in there that no one besides me might ever notice. 'Tis shiny, and I still love the main picture, but I'm just not sure I'm completely pleased with it as a whole. Opinions, anyone?

Expect some classic-horror related wallpapers and icons to turn up here between now and Halloween. I still have a lot of high-quality Karloff and Lugosi material from SimplyClassics that I've never played with.
