Wolfbane Icons

Classic movies are the subject of tonight's installment from my backlog of fan_flashworks prompt submissions. It includes five wallpapers and a set of icons.

This week's Halloween-themed resource is a set of 24 horror-inspired icon textures.

Two wallpapers, respectively featuring Bela Lugosi in Dracula and Boris Karloff in Son of Frankenstein. In fact, these are usage examples for a wallpaper texture set that will be posted next month--so if you like the effect of them, stay tuned. *g*

While we're on the subject, if anyone has requests for classic horror or Halloween-related graphics in time for October, this is the time for it. And I've been considering a sequel to my Dracula icon text brushes, featuring quotes from other classic horror films; is anyone interested?

For the mutant-fan viewers of this journal, a batch of X-Men icons should be forthcoming in less than two weeks. They will mostly feature Cyclops and Storm, the two characters I have lately partaken of challenges for.

These were entered in last month's classicicontest wallpaper challenge, and are now free to be posted. Featuring Ginger Rogers, Boris Karloff in Frankenstein, and Bela Lugosi in Dracula.

Well, I promised some Abbott & Costello icons in this batch, but I'm afraid the moderator of the icontest they were entered in has gone absent. (Hopefully she's alright!) I was really hoping to see how they would place, so I'm going to wait another month and see if she returns to put the challenge through its vote. If not, I will definitely post them in early September.

On the last Sunday of every month, I will be posting the month's roundup of challenge icons, along with "challenge rejects" that I made for icontests but chose not to submit (and perhaps any other loose icons I have on hand). Most of them will probably be classic film-related in the foreseeable future, but just about anything might turn up.

Since this is the first such post, all of the icons I've made for classicicontest are here, as well as some recent strays that I missed in my backposting. But amidst all of the old news (at least for some of you), there are a few icons here that have never been displayed before.

To celebrate the Halloween season, here's a big batch of twenty-five classic horror icons. Most are of various films from Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff, along with a cameo "appearance" by The Invisible Man.
