jordannamorgan: The artwork "Ascending and Descending", by M. C. Escher. (Default)

Having dispensed with the X-Men icontest groups over what you might call creative differences, I hereby present my recent efforts in that quarter. A lot of these--and all of the best ones--have never been seen before outside of an anonymous poll.

You'll notice I've tried using one of those nifty icon table generators for the first time. This may turn out to be rather handy, because a lot of my icons are best seen on darker backgrounds, instead of the blinding white of LJ default.

#14 and #15 are the ones that received mod's choice awards. As you can see, they had much better icons to choose from. The last three are non-Wolverine icons of Hugh Jackman, and they in particular--along with #6 and #9--are the ones I was so proud of from that particular challenge. (If you saw what won, you know now why I dropped out of that community.)

If you enjoy my work and would like to show appreciation for it, I welcome tips in the form of Dreamwidth Points. (Enter my username "jordannamorgan" as the account you're buying for.)

Tomorrow there will be more shinies--a [livejournal.com profile] classicicontest rehash that will mostly be old news to some of you, but also several brand-new James Cagney icons.

#6 was the one that immediately drew my eye. I'm also a big fan of 11 and 18 (the slashes and the x are great touches)

You know how little I know about X-Men, but I really like #9. It really caught my eye before I even read the rest of your text.
