Small batch of Cagney icons

Here are eight new James Cagney icons. Most of them are the result of my dinking with City for Conquest caps for the [livejournal.com profile] classicicontest letter C challenge. Since that just ended, my entry is included here.

The first six are from City for Conquest. #1 was my Classic Icontest entry, but I very nearly chose #2 for it instead. In such cases, I always wonder academically if the icon I chose not to use would have done better.

The last two are from Angels with Dirty Faces. They were originally made for entry in a new classic movie icon community, but I found it undesirable to be a member there.

If you enjoy my work and would like to show appreciation for it, I welcome tips in the form of Dreamwidth Points. (Enter my username "jordannamorgan" as the account you're buying for.)

Mmmmmmmmmm . . . tiny pictures of James Cagney are always a delight :D I really like #'s 2 and 3 -- and the black tables are working very effectively to show things off, by the way.

Awww... oh well. We can still enjoy it. :-D

I thought this round had very few really attractive icons in it. I don't understand what the appeal was for the Shadow of a Doubt one. Maybe that's just me? [/critique of other people's icons]

LOL! Yup... sometimes that's just how it is, I guess.

Sweet! Especially fond of 1,2 and 8. Really like the text in 2, and really like the image in 8 :-)

I was watching Mutiny on the Bounty a couple nights ago and keeping an eye out for Cagney - I saw a couple suspicious looking sailors, but couldn't make a positive ID. Have you ever figured out which extra he is in that film?
