I'm finding it ironic how many saddish icons are coming out of Footlight Parade. *g*

Baby is cute, and Hands is really intriguing. I like it. I really like Nerdy - I think I'll be adopting that one! It even goes with the (loose) theme of my site. And Prize - that's a rather intimidating look he's got. Good one.

Re "Footlight Parade"--really? I hadn't noticed that. In making the bases, I was just going through my folders of pictures and screencaps, trying to find images that fit with the prompt words. Thanks to Jael I have a *lot* of FP caps, so naturally quite a few icons are coming from it.

"The Time of Your Life" is a charming movie. Some people have actually called it a fantasy, but it's really just a rather surreal, random, cheerfully life-affirming tale. Cagney invested a lot in it both personally and professionally, so he was understandably disappointed when it was underrated by critics and viewers.

Hmm... maybe I was just generalizing. But there's at least one or two others from it that were saddish-type themes. Perhaps I was only struck by that, just because the movie itself is so NOT sad. :D

Sounds like a winner! I wouldn't mind seeing it sometime. *g*

By the way, I finally got around to looking at those pictures you made available for me. I had to download them at home because SendSpace is apparently Verboten! 'round here, and I'm not on the home computer nearly as much. Let me just say - I'm a lot closer to abandoned Jimmy-love. *g* Several in particular were thoroughly wibble-worthy. (And that FP one with 'my boy' is a hoot! I love it!)

The FP picture *is* priceless. (And speaking of guys cuddling Frank, today I got to see him and Allen Jenkins in an accidental dancing clinch in "Ever Since Eve". *dies*... But more on that later!)

I agree with Jordi -- "The Time of Your Life" is a very charming picture, one of my particular favorites of the Cagney movies I've seen. It's also out from under copyright now, I guess -- I got my DVD copy for a mere buck at the local Dollar Tree. It's worth watching!

I like "Jealous" Nerdy", "Sun" and "Baby" (awww, that is the cutest look on his face!!) I 'specially like the sunbeam effect on "Sun" :D
