September X-Men Icons
Part I of my September icon inventory, with thirty-six icons in all.

Comments:
01-03: Made for a challenge in which a few given textures had to be visibly incorporated into the icons. I liked Toad best, but it was Jubilee who won first place.
04-06: For a challenge focusing on the interior of the Xavier mansion. #6 won third place, but I was proudest of #5, which won a special award for the best use of the theme.
07-08: Based on the given theme of the Seven Deadly Sins. I was quite proud of #7, but neither won an award. (Not surprising, because this was the comics-centric X-Men Icontest.)
09-10: Two extra icons made at the same time as the previous two, and never entered in a challenge. I really do love the one of Jean; it reminds me of something out of a fairytale storybook.
11-14: An art student made a request for Wolverine "art teacher" icons based on the Drake household scene in X2. These were my effort to fulfill it. The lighting of the scene made them a little hard to work with, but they aren't too shabby.
15-19: For a challenge centering on the character of Wolverine--which I couldn't resist, even if it was for XMI again. And #16 did win mod's choice, which is about as good as a movieverse fan can generally expect there.
20-24: Made from given screencaps. I only managed to make the first three in time for the challenge deadline--so naturally, when I went back to the caps later, the last two turned out the best. :Þ #20 also won a Mod's Choice, though.
25-26: Last-minute challenge entries, using lyrics to a song by Little Big Town (the name of which eludes me). They were rush jobs, and I'm none too pleased with them--but competing against only one other icon, there was pretty much no way not to win something. *snerk*
27-31: Scenes from the X-jet--my own second challenge as a co-mod of
x_men_stills. I like all of these, and they were interesting to make, as I tried some things stylistically that were rather novel for me.
32-36: The theme here was brown/sepia. It was for XMI again, and mine were the only movieverse entries at all; but amazingly, #34 tied for first place! And the challenge made for some darn good icons anyway.
