I recently had a request for Errol Flynn icons (which is why I made him star of the week at
classicicontest--shhh, don't tell). A small batch of those will be forthcoming after the weekend, but in the meantime, here are five wallpapers featuring the quintessential screen swashbuckler. A few of them are variations on the same photo that I found rather intriguing--and no, none of them are Robin Hood. ;Þ

There will be one more coming at the end of November, incidentally. I'm reserving it for next month's wallpaper challenge at
classicicontest.
If you enjoy my work and would like to show appreciation for it, I welcome tips in the form of Dreamwidth Points. (Enter my username "jordannamorgan" as the account you're buying for.)
I should mention that with nearly all of my wallpapers, I keep the original high-quality PNG copies, which can be resized tolerably well--so if you'd ever like to see one in a higher screen resolution (or would just like to have it in the PNG format), feel free to ask.
I still haven't forgotten the requests for Rear Window and Tale of Two Cities icons. :) The last three months of the year are the busiest for me (and quite honestly, I'm better at requests for actors than for specific movies), but hopefully I can find some time to work on those.

Date: 2007-10-13 02:04 am (UTC)According to the IMDb, those are genuine quotes from Flynn himself. They are quite modern-buccaneerish, aren't they?
(But the other things I learned about him in the process were... enlightening. I never knew what a self-destructively debaucherous and downright criminal cad Flynn was in real life. Not exactly a genius for living after all...)

And a buccaneer like the Saint may be irrepressible and irresponsible, non-conventional, reckless, and adventurous, but he balances it with highly-developed and maintained skills and a heck of a lot of self-discipline. Something the middle-of-the-roader doesn't need.
