I don't know that I've ever actually seen him - but he IS quite a cutie. 14 is particularly good.

I have a soft spot in my heart for him in "Johnny Belinda". He was a bit older there though.

I'm sitting here thinking what movies I've seen him in and I'm really coming up empty beyond maybe two or three. I like him though.

You often seem to like the icons I'm least pleased with. *g* (But that image was particularly hard to work with, which may have colored my opinion.)

I sent you "Doorway to Hell" in that batch of gangster movies, correct? Lew Ayres is rather improbably cast as the star of that. He's the young mob boss who James Cagney plays right-hand-man to.

(And have I sent you the Cary Grant/Katharine Hepburn movie "Holiday", which also has an excellent turn by Ayres? You may recall how I've lauded that as a truly fine, good-feeling film.)
