25 Vampyr Icons

The other half of my latest inspiration: twenty-five incredibly spooky, spectral icons from the 1932 horror film Vampyr.

Like the preceding texture set, these icons were made from a collection of Vampyr stills from the Walterfilm Digital Museum. I honestly did very little to alter or touch up the icons; the images alone speak for themselves.

As a matter of fact, I've lost count of how many times I've tried to sit through that whole movie. (I have a hard time with foreign films, though, so maybe that's just me.) As I recall, it seems like nothing ever really happens in the plot--but as the stills reflect, it is an amazingly stream-of-consciousness parade of ghostly imagery.

It's going to be on Turner Classic Movies again later this month, so maybe I'll finally "get" more of it this time than just the visual wow factor. *g*

I don't have this movie quite yet but have seen it in several horror movie collections. Is it good? I am in such a big old school horror movie fetish mood right now. The icons are so pretty, so couldn't help but ask.

I actually haven't seen it in a few years. I remarked on it in a comment above. Basically it's very slow-paced, but the visuals are as striking as they are in the icons.
