Disaster Textures - Large and Small

Today I'm offering a special-edition package of "inferno"-styled icon and wallpaper textures, which is dedicated to the victims of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

As always, these textures are freely available for download. However, if you like them--and if your heart is moved to do so--I would ask you to please consider making a small charitable donation to one of the many Haiti relief efforts that are out there. Every little bit will help make a difference.

If you'd like a list of charities that are helping Haiti, visit this page. (Or if you'd like to know my personal charity of choice, which isn't listed there: it's Harvest Time International, which is based in Central Florida where I live.) You can even help by downloading a song from the Hope for Haiti Now album, or sending someone the "Help Haiti" virtual gift here on LiveJournal.

Again, you absolutely don't have to do any of these things to download this texture set--but as the creator of the textures, I would be very grateful if a few people might return the favor of my work by doing this little bit of good for others.

Heh. I miss icontests, period--every one of the ones I participated in has dried up. :Þ That's why there's been a dearth of icons on this journal lately. (But then, I've been focused on writing anyway, so that isn't quite a bad thing for me.)
