The muses conspire...

Two wallpapers tonight, but there's an unusually complex story behind them.
Some of you may recall that my literary muses have a nefarious habit of throwing me plot bunnies for characters I dislike intensely, such as Rogue from X-Men or Tom Sawyer from LXG. Well, now my graphic-arts muses seem to be picking up the same contrariness.
The result is Danny and Peg, a City For Conquest wallpaper featuring Mister Right and Miss Wrong in a completely unintentional 'shippy light. A few of you may be delighted with it, but I was... nonplused. I honestly intended to make something that would be a subtle barb directed at Peg. ( In fact, I did still get a couple of little digs in. )
This brings us to the second wallpaper. Being irked that I had produced such a beautiful, Victorianesque piece for a 'ship I don't even like, I decided to recreate it with that most ultimate of screen couples--Nick and Nora Charles. This version is even more elaborate, and I do believe it's one of the best wallpapers I've made yet.
