Mutant manipulations, part I

By request of wabbitseason, here are some new photo manipulations featuring the X-Men's Cyclops and Jean Grey, 1930s-style. Included are a wallpaper and half a dozen icons made from the manips. Again, I'm no expert at these--but they were fun to make, and hopefully they're fun to look at too.


If you'd like to make your own icons or wallpapers from these, that's fine. I do ask that you credit me for the original images, because it took no small amount of work to create them.

In the near future, I'll be doing a small reorganizing of Animal Magnetism in order to archive these curiosities. Icons, wallpapers, manips, and so forth will be listed as subsections under a main "fanart" page.

Oooh, these are very pretty. Yes, I've mentioned it on my friendslist, so some of them may be along shortly. I don't suppose you could do an icon of the Thin Man inspired one?

*g* Thanks! And yes, I can certainly icon that one. Somehow that particular manip kept eluding me when I was doing the icons and wallpapers. Tuxedo Scott was supposed to have Jean there as Nora, too, but she turned out so badly that I just kept him.

I think you're really going to like the Jean icons I still have upcoming. Very "His Girl Friday". (Which reminds me that I still have those pictures and should try that...)

Incidentally, I did intend to post these yesterday, but I wanted to have the icons and such prepared to post along with them.

OMG. You haven't gotten enough comments/cred for these. These are boss. I'm not a big Jean/Scott fan, but the manips are cool and very fun. Cheers! :)

I think Jean and Scott are rather boring myself (although I approve of them as a couple), but they're favorites of the friend who requested them. There is more of Logan in my Manips Part II post, though. *g*

(I have a complete plan for a remix fanfic casting the X-Men--mainly Logan and Scott--in the 1938 James Cagney film "Angels with Dirty Faces". All this manipping was for illustrative and self-inspiration purposes. *g*)
