Description and Notes:
#1-10: Cary Grant (#9 and #10 also respectively featuring Katharine Hepburn and Grace Kelly). #3 won Mod's choice at
classics_stills, #9 won first place at
classicicontest, and #10 won second place at
silver_lims.
#11-18: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, together and separately. I quite like a few of these, although they met with no success in the challenge they were made for. (In case it needs clarifying, #18 is a spoof of those iPod advertisements of a few years ago. *g*)
#19-26: Dick Powell (#21 also featuring Ruby Keeler). #19 and #20 won first and second place at
classicicontest.
#27-32: Alice Faye. #30 won second place at
classicicontest.
33-37: Joan Blondell. No challenge entries here--just some good old Joan cuteness. :)
#38: Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.
#39: Danny Kaye.
#40: Clara Bow and Fredric March. This icon won first place at
classicicontest.
#41: William Powell and Myrna Loy.
#42: Olivia de Havilland and Errol Flynn (in The Adventures of Robin Hood, of course.)
If you enjoy my work and would like to show appreciation for it, I welcome tips in the form of Dreamwidth Points. (Enter my username "jordannamorgan" as the account you're buying for.)
By the way, I thought I should give notice that my iconage for this month may be less prolific. I've lately been feeling an urge to write instead of playing around in PaintShop, so hopefully I can put some time toward striking at my literary aspirations while the iron is hot. *g*

Date: 2008-03-05 02:44 am (UTC)Hopefully it's something with the potential to be a novel
or tenone of these days, if my muse will cooperate. 1930s-era, of course. *g* But I've been making sporadic efforts to get my literary ideas to coalesce for ten years, so I can't get my hopes up too much. :Þ(I have written fanfiction for years, incidentally. X-Men, LXG, obscure scifi TV... and yes, even a couple of classic subjects. It's all at my site or on Fanfiction.net.)
