30 Classic Film Icons

Just clearing out about half of my large cache of classic icons waiting to be posted. All of the icons below have been previously seen on this journal as texture examples, but this post compiles them for more convenient browsing. Featured actors are Fredric March, Ann Sheridan, Carole Lombard, Basil Rathbone + Nigel Bruce (Sherlock Holmes movies), Audrey Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, and Olivia de Havilland.

Hi. I really admire your work (I used to follow this community when I was blush_pink_rose, then I closed that account and I started this one), especially your classic film and actor/actress icons. I have bunches saved on my computer, I love your Katharine Hepburn and Dracula/Wolf Man icons in particular. I like using your icons on FanFiction for my profile since I don't post on LiveJournal often, but I was wondering if you'd thought about making fanfiction covers? Do you take requests? If you don't I understand but I just thought I'd ask. If not, do you know someone who does? I'm writing fanfiction now and I wanted a generic but nice looking cover to use and I'm not sure who else to ask, but I just really like what I've seen what you can do with icons and such.

Thank you for replying!

I'm familiar with the piece you wrote for The Wolf Man quite a while back, I left a review on it as For Sentimental Reasons. I'm glad someone wrote something for the movie, and I've outlined a few ideas for that film and the others that followed it myself.

What I'm working on now ranges from classic to contemporary, well-known to more obscure. I actually have a second account, Tourmaline Shine, that I intend for my more contemporary pieces. This week I published my first one-shot for a film called The Peacemaker that starred George Clooney and Nicole Kidman, but I took it down to be tweaked a little more. It should be back up by next week. I also am working on a Gone with the Wind one-shot that I'll have out by the end of October as it fits in with the Halloween season.

Instead of a particular image, for the moment I actually had in mind a text only cover so that it could be used for whatever story I post. I was thinking a black background, with white, cursive text that says "Presenting..." with a sparkly/shimmery effects as seen in your Lauren Bacall icon that I'm using at the moment; FFN recommends 300 W by 450 H, would that be alright?

Thank you! Looking forward to it!

Very nice, and an extra thanks for giving me more than one choice! The latter two are just what I had pictured, but I also like the fancier touches on the first two. I think I'll take numbers two and three. I can't wait to use them!

Thanks so much!

I went on ahead and saved the other two also, so all's well.

Many many thanks again!
