34 Classic Icons

Finally! Some of these were tied up in icontests, and had to wait quite a while for posting. Anyway, thirty-four classic icons, including Veronica Lake [9]; Fredric March [8]; Charles Laughton [7]; Jean Arthur [5]; Boris Karloff as Frankenstein [2]; Humphrey Bogart & Claude Rains [1]; Leslie Howard [1]; and Allen Jenkins [1].

#01-09: Veronica Lake.
#10-17: Fredric March (10-15 from Death Takes a Holiday, with Gail Patrick in some of them; and 16-17 from The Eagle and the Hawk and The Road to Glory).
#18-24: Charles Laughton.
#19-29: Jean Arthur (with Joel McCrea in #25).
#30-31: Boris Karloff in Frankenstein.
#32: Claude Rains and Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca.
#33: Leslie Howard.
#34: Allen Jenkins.

Not too much in the way of icontest awards lately--and all of them from classicicontest. #28 won second place, and #11 and #32 both won third place.

I'm afraid I don't have a specific tutorial for either of them, no. However, #33 uses a texture from ecenoci (I forget offhand who made the light blobs); and #34 uses a fractal decoration from ms_scully_icons. :)

Wow! I knew most of these Charles Laughton Pictures already, but the way you use in the avatars is grand! That's some gorgeous Photoshopping!

(I'm still astounded that you have included two of my favouritest images of Charles: the gorgeous 1932 photo by William Walling Jr. and the Sasha picture of Charles as Lopakhin... and of course I dig the choice of roles -captain Bligh and Albert Lory- as well)
